Best Rate? No. Best Value? Yes!You be the judge. The significant 3 month renovation of my sixth floor mountain view studio #624 was completed in July '08. This includes an all new kitchen with solid wood cabinetry and features an oven range and microhood, a sleek vanity room, walk in shower with a transparent glass side wall, Mexican travertine and ceramic tile floors and shower walls, new carpeting, etc. The Hansgrohe wall bar shower is the same as you sometimes find in 4 star hotels
Note: There is a 30% discount until completion of the $5.5 million exterior renovation project on February 22nd. (M-F from 8 am to 5 pm.) The discount is for any inconvenience you may experience.
Budget minded? My popular fifth floor studio #520 is available at $15 less per night. (See rate charts later on.) Current photos overprinted with "Studio #520" may be seen in the photo album.
These centrally air conditioned 550 sq. ft. mountain view studios consist of a large living/bedroom area, a dining area and a bath and/or walk in shower with a separate vanity room. The firm California king bed, along with the carpeted bedroom / living area, make these desirable retreats. Also, there's a rollaway bed with standard size mattress for a third guest.
In each unit, the fully equipped kitchen is complete with full size appliances, a microwave, cookware, dishes and utensils. Plenty of linens and towels (as well as beach towels) are provided. And you can leave your hair dryer and iron at home. Bring your own CD's! There's also cable TV with VCR. High speed internet cable access is also available.
In addition to the complete furnishings of a vacation home, you are provided with the "niceties" of a beachfront resort hotel including an open, breezy, comfortably furnished lobby, central air conditioning, large swimming pool, large jacuzzi, BBQ, 24 hr.front desk, etc.
The central air conditioning has individual electronic controls. The entryway, the lobby, elevators and hallways have been completely remodeled, no doubt inspired by early Hawaiian plantation mansions.
At 475 Front St., this is the only beachfront resort in Lahaina. It's just a 3/10 mile walk down Front St. to quaint, historic Lahaina Town itself . . . Maui's storied shop-'til-you-drop, gallery hopping, dining & partying mecca.On site parking is $3.65 per night including taxes, payable at the front desk. Also there's a $75 departure cleaning fee.
The property is fronted by the ocean and has a beach which is excellent for sunbathing, safe swimming and snorkeling. (There's a reef about 150 yds. out which protects the beach from surf.) The large, manicured swimming pool area between the building and the beach is enhanced with umbrella'd tables & chairs, plus loungers for reading, sunning and snoozing. There's even a heated, bubbling, jacuzzi spa!
World class golf (think Sony Open), deep sea fishing and all water activities are available nearby.

Room with a view . . . of the West Maui Mountains as seen from the lanai. The mountains are oftimes rainbow enhanced, especially toward evening. Both 550 sq. ft. studios provide an unobstructed view, whereas most lower floor units do not.
That's not a toilet ghost, it's a reflection in the glass. Duh!
There's extra cabinet space in the mirrored hallway closet.
